The Clue started off strong - a bride murdered the night before her wedding, the entire house locked, everyone supposedly asleep. Fleming Stone hardly makes an appearance, and instead most of the detective work is placed in the hands of a lawyer (detective wannabe I think?) and a lady named Kitty French.

Most of the story goes round and round, with characters constantly revising their testimony. Kitty acts more as a convenience, saying one thing and then changing her story to reaffirm another character’s story.

Also, I couldn’t wrap my head around the ending and who the murderer was. Given the person’s description, I find it difficult to picture that person entering the house as Stone claimed.
