I feel like... not much happened?? I was interested for abit in the middle but then I really didn't like the ending so just kinda meh about this one in general

The last thing he told me follows the story of a wife whose husband disappeared overnight with nothing but a note saying "protect her". She tries her best to protect her stepdaughter as uncovers the truth about her husband.
A solid 3 star. It had me reading nonstop at the start but it slowly started getting draggy as I was waiting for nonexistent climax. I was hoping for a more fast paced storyline.
Loved the main character and her patience with the daughter and I also liked the character development of the daughter.
Overall, it was a good slight suspense book that would have you on the edge every now and then.
