What a delicious, grown woman slow-burn. This book rotates between spice that gave me goosebumps, friendship moments that made me grin, and tough moments around racism and dealing with aging parents that made me cry. The main characters are lovable and mature. Iām not sure what else you could ask for in a romance. I can say that I understand the Kennedy Ryan hype now.

4.5 ā. I can't believe that this is the first book I have read by this author. Let's just say this is far from the last book I will grab from this author. This author is able to bring spicy, emotions and well-done writing into a book like it's as easy as breathing. I didn't even know that I had accidentally jumped into the middle of a series it was so well done. The narration was just so impeccably done. A+ in making the characters come alive.

Perfection. I absolutely loved this book and it is my favorite one from this series. Seeing Henedrix have the chance of finding her match in this romance novel was done at a great pace. To the point that it keeps the reader interested and attached to new & past characters.
Most of all, I thought subjects such as what happens when people are cargiving for an elderly parent were mentioned well.
