This wasn't my favorite of the series. I liked reconnecting with the characters although I am not feeling Quinn and Rafe. I hoped this book would cement them for me but nope. There was some criticism about a hard rock band being gay on the road, etc. Talked about that with my husband since we're both music and show junkies. We both agreed that a hard rock band would face discrimination BUT I was thought going in that this was their thing. But it's not. They're gay yeah, and they're not hiding but they're not throwing it out there either. And the venues they're playing seen pretty indie which I think would be a friendly audience.

I remain on the fence about Miki's death threats, and the cliffhanger. But who am I kidding? I"ll reading anything by Ford.

Audiobook Review

As usual Tristan James has done a great job of this one.
We see the boys go on tour and at times each of them struggle a little at certain aspects of the tour
I just think this one doesn't add much to the story as a whole. I did enjoy seeing all the guys and what happens after their HEA. It does finish with a lead in to the next one, so onto the next one.

Good addition to the series

Good addition to the series but not my favourite.
It was good to see the boys on the road and the Morgan family popping up at times. I loved seeing Miki and Brigid talk it out and Donal is always a highlight.
I wanted more of Rafe and Quinn especially since Rafe was struggling, it just felt like that storyline was dropped quickly.
Still enjoyable and would love to listen on audible as these story’s are fantastic on audible

This, the fifth book in this series, was as chaotic as the tour the band is on. More hints of the past not being done with Miki, in more ways than one. All four of them ride with demons of the past, and book 6 isn't out yet. Sorry about the whininggggg. It was less cohesive and more a bridge between books than it could've been, but that won't stop me pre-ordering #6 as soon as I see it available.

Did not like this as much as the others. Too many character POVs, not much going on except things keep happening to the band. Was actually hoping for a fifth member. Unnecessary I think, series should stop at 4

How long until the next in the series?

Excellent story. Miki's voice is as vivid and unique as always, and we get to visit with each of the Crossroads boys.

There is a bit of a 'middle book' feel, clearly the story arc is building up to something that doesn't happen here. But the growth of much loved characters, and the colorful descriptions, keep the story engaging.

If you haven't read this series before, do yourself a favor and start at the beginning. If you already love the series, this book has plenty of everyone's favorite feral rock god, so what more could you want?
