this was not bad but I feel like they tried to add to many different stories/legends in to short a story. If they had expanded, turned it into a novel, it might have worked better, but I counted at least 3 fairytales and 2 versions of Christmas legends...at least. That is a lot of ground to cover for a short story. Premise was interesting but not enough actual writing to cover everything they shoved in. Flesh it into a novel and I think it would be dynamite.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Winter Flame by KA Last
Have you ever wished for a version of The Little Match Girl where she is found before she freezes? Or a version of The Princess and the Pea where the pea measures the tenderness of the princess' heart, and not her skin? If so, this is the story for you! Last has written a beautiful wintertime fairytale that captures all the wonder and magic of these two tales and mashes them into a beautiful sweet romance.
