As a big fan of Williamson’s ‘All About Mia’, I was really looking forward to reading this book and I found they both had a similar feel in terms of character development and the emphasis on family dynamic . At first I struggled to get through the first few chapters (solely due to how depressing they were) but after returning to it after a few weeks I sped through it in 2 days. It was so satisfying to watch Tanvi and Ro’s relationship develop and the book was well paced. the ending was also really satisfying and made it worth how upset I felt as a reader reading about Ro’s hoarding situation when Tanvi took Ro in. only important thing to note is that it is definitely for a slightly younger audience than I had expected due to the vagueness of the blurb - I’d say 12-16 year olds at the most. Overall a really enjoyable book with great characters.
