excellent intellectual biography - the author doesn't bother with trivia or pseudo-psychoanalysis. He tackles Derrida head on, and without caricaturing him or echoing his ideas, he presents his philosophy and those he interpreted/critiqued fairly, and builds a strong case that somewhat exposes Derrida as an opportunist.
