I enjoyed this artbook because of all the concept art they included and the thoughts of the actors and artists. It seems that Pixar took an unconventional approach to make this film and I really appreciate that. For example, I loved seeing the wire sculptures for the Jerry and Terry characters. The book includes a lot of concept ideas for immaterial concepts and spiritual ideas.

I wish it had more storyboards! But I know that these US animation art books typically don't include many boards. Just a lil' gripe from a storyboard artist.

I wouldn't recommend this book to everyone. I think if you are looking for inspiration to create a cityscape like New York, Soul doesn't really have anything unique to offer. However, if you are interested in exploring visual depictions of the metaphysical then I think this book would serve you well for inspiration.

it was a really good concept!! the beginning was lovely but even after trying it again years later, this book just fell flat for me. i can 100% see why people love this book, but for me it was just okay. would recommend to people just starting out on their journey into creativity.
