A fun and quick read

I have a strong preference for short stories and novellas. This one was a lot of fun. The story moved well and was nicely written. I really liked Lydia here, she made me laugh. Very enjoyable.

A Pride and Prejudice story whereby Jane, Elizabeth and Lydia Bennet are caught in a snowstorm on their way to Netherfield Park, and find a deserted cottage to take shelter. The next day they are found by Bingley and Darcy who have to stay until the storm stops. Can affections be shown, can opinions be changed and can characters be altered?

This was a silly bit of fluffery with overly modern language and sensibilities. Nothing overly awful or offensive, but mostly just made me roll my eyes.

I remember this novella as being a cute little read. Jane and Elizabeth go walking to Netherfield and Lydia follows them. They get caught in a snow storm at a deserted cottage. The next day while looking for the sisters, Darcy and Bingley also get caught at the cottage. Lizzy's opinion of Darcy changes while they are all at the cottage. She even lets him court her once they get to Netherfield. Bingley and Jane up together as well as Elizabeth and Darcy. Towards the end of the book they seal their love with a kiss.

I really did like this book. The only thing I didn't like was that it was so short.
