Great Christmas read!!

Synopsis: Bryce doesnt have anyone for Christmas and Yemi will be lonely for Christmas, until they meet each other in their building laundry room late one night. Next thing you know sparks fly and they end up in bed together.

This was hot y’all! I mean damn Yemi was not afraid to go after what she wanted and I was so here for it. It was a quick read but I dont feel like it was rushed or that I missed out on a backstory. Both of their pasts were briefly mentioned & the story went on. Not all Authors can capture a good story in 46 pages but Ms. Nicole did that. Great read for your December Holiday reads list

A fun little Christmasy read! It does end kind of abruptly, and I think there’s enough there to turn this into a full novel…
Sometimes I find myself irritated by books that have a bit too much explanatory comma, especially when it’s a community I’m a part of, because it makes me feel like the book is meant for outsiders. I had the opposite experience with this story - it’s very clear that a Black author wrote Black characters for a Black audience without extra accommodating for non Black readers. I appreciated that!

Quick and dirty holiday novella about new neighbors who hook up but then spend more time together. As a white woman, reading the POV of a Black man who was written by a Black woman was an interesting departure from what I usually read, and I'm glad I read it side from one thing. My main complaint is that I can't even decide if it was a complete story within a shorter format because it ended so abruptly. I thought I was turning the page to read more in the chapter but it was done, the whole thing. I knocked off half a star because of how how that threw me. #23FOR23 bk.24

Loved it! Enough romance and sexiness!! Some of the wording of during sexual encounters had me cringe though but mostly I enjoyed it!! I would’ve kept reading if it continued for sure!

Please give us more !

First of all can we just all GUSH at the cover of this book!

Bryce and Yemi were both lovable and relatable characters. This short story has a little bit of romance, lots of steamy sex, and just the right amount of holiday cheer.

Yemi is off the chain, bold, and knows what she wants. Bryce is charming, adaptive and also knows what he wants. I wish we can get a continuation of how their love story unfolds.

But for now I will say I am pleasantly pleased and will channel my inner Yemi.
