this was such a cute story; read chapters of it to my daughter before bed and she really enjoyed hearing about Ronia and Birk’s adventures in Matt’s Wood.

Lindgren does something so unique in her books, it's almost hard to describe. Characters speak so plainly, so from the heart, it's inspiring. This book wasn't as polished and in-depth as The Brothers Lionheart, but it had something else: the beautiful raw edge from the forest.

Als Kind habe ich dieses Buch nie gelesen. Den Film hab ich zwar gesehen, jedoch keine Erinnerung mehr an die genaue Geschichte.

Heute im Erwachsenenalter hat es mich dann doch noch mal interessiert und ich hab zu diesem Buch gegriffen.

Ronja ist die Tochter eines Räubers, der mir seiner ganzen Meute in einer Festung lebt. Sie sind seit langer Zeit verfeindet mit einer abwerten Räubermeute. Ronja lernt irgendwann in Wald einen Jungen dieser verfeindeten Räubermeute kennen und sie freunden sich an. Das führt natürlich erstmal zu Konflikten.

Ich mochte das Buch sehr und hatte echt viel Spaß beim Lesen. Man kann vieles davon gut nachvollziehen oder kennt entsprechende Verhaltensweisen der Charaktere. Es war spannend, es war emotional und sehr bildhaft geschrieben. Einfach toll.

Classic, old school children's story. Mild violence consistent with the era. Nice sense of scenery. The character of Lovis is great mum representation, pragmatic and sensible in the face of childish husband.
