Very solid issue!

- Distant Stars by P H Lee 5*
I discovered Lee's short fiction this year and I love their work. This one is about being a woman in STEM, working vs parenting, how one slowly loose connections with their family. The ending was painful but everything worked.
- The ThoughtBox by Tlotlo Tsamaase 5*
Amazing, amazing story. Everything about it was great: beautiful writing, perfect pacing, the twist at the end was great. I don't want to say anything about the plot because you have to discover it by yourself. Loved it!
- Debtless by Chen Qiufan, translated by Blake Stone-Banks 4.5*
I usually struggle with very long stories (I think it's a novelette) but this one had so many interesting elements. It follows miners who work on a space station to pay the debts they had on Earth. It's also about so many more issues: grief, religion, slavery.
- AirBody by Sameem Siddiqui 4*
Very good concept (what if you could rent a body?) and writing, I felt a bit detached from the two main characters but I would like to read other things by Siddiqui.
- A System for Investigating Recapitulation and Evolutionary Novelty by Kyle E Miller 1*
Nope, didn't work for me at all.
- Angel Pattern by Henry Szabranski DNF
Another nop, I read half of it and couldn't get into it.
