 For a novel with such an unusual premise I don’t think that, aside from the rituals themselves, anything particularly odd happened in the novel. It was fairly tame. I have read a lot of ‘unhinged women’ lit lately, and Ada seemed fairly reasonable, aside from the whole burying her boyfriend in the ground thing.

Interesting read. Really nice writing style. If you like magical realism it’s probably your kinda thing. Enjoyable but definitely a bit strange.
