5 stars - This was a fabulous read! I knew I would like it from the start, because I’ve always really enjoyed this author’s work. I don’t often read F/F even though I do enjoy it, and it made a nice change for me and I really got into the story and found myself so invested in all the characters’ lives.

Annabelle Jacobs has created such a wonderful fantasy world with this series. The pack dynamics and all the lore and the ins and outs of the pack is really interesting. There is an array of engaging characters here, both good and bad, and it’s no secret that my favourite novels are the ones where there is great character development and plenty of well developed secondary characters. Bitten by Her ticked all the boxes on this front for sure, and it made the story even more compelling and enjoyable.

Rachel and Sara were just all round brilliantly written heroines. They were strong and interesting and they felt very real. I was sad for them and that they were separated, and was rooting for them to be together from the very first page! After a while I was just sitting there thinking “I need these girls to get there happy ending or I might never feel joy again” haha!

The writing is very good (as usual for this author), the story compelling, and all in all it was a really enjoyable read. It’s the perfect length for a cosy night in with your Kindle, and I think it’s well worth giving a chance even if F/F isn’t your usual go-to for romance. I honestly think that if you’ve read previous M/M romances by this author, you’ll love this one.

This newest addition to the Regent's Park Pack series is a good bit shorter than the other books in the series and gives us Rachel's story. We got the beginning of Rachel and Sara's story in book four, or at least the gist of what started their troubles. This pair is apart for much of this one, and while they don't have quite the same fire as the other couples in the series, there's no shortage on feels. What the book lacks in romance with this pair being kept apart, it makes up for in the story of friendship and loyalty with so many people putting their heads together to make a way for this couple. All in all, an entertaining and heartwarming tale.

It's rare for me to read anything but MM these days but from the first moment the redheaded beta Rachel first burst onto the scene in the Regent's Park Pack series I've wanted her story.

And here it is, as Alpha Cameron Harley does his best, in cohorts with Rachel's lover Sara's Alpha Council grandmother, to manipulate the fates and allow the two to form their true mates bond.

I love Rachel as a character, she's fiercely loyal, a dedicated beta who accepts the separation from her mate even though it's breaking her heart.

I loved all the clever plotting that went on to get them both in the same place at the same time without going against Sara's father's command and I loved how they fought to get their HEA.

It's a novella, so not as long as the rest of the series, but it's still packed with all the feels.

The amount of tension is this book was incredible. I loved the reflectiveness of the slow build and then everything reaching a climaxing point. I know there’s one more book after this but I hope Jacobs plans to write more. I’m not ready to say goodbye to the Regent Hill pack just yet.

Readers meet Rachel Tregarrak, a beta in the Penwith Pack, in Bitten by the Alpha, when she was taken in by Alpha Cameron Harley and the Regent’s Park Pack on a temporary basis after having been forbidden to mate with, let alone be in contact with, Sara Gallen from a neighboring pack. While there’s been a whole alternate reality built throughout this predominantly M/M series, including the pack politics and how the Regent’s Park Pack came to absorb some of the members of the former Primrose Hill Pack, I wouldn’t say it’s strictly necessary to have read those other books to enjoy Bitten by Her. Annabelle Jacobs offers just enough detail in the plot to allow this F/F novel to stand on its own within the series as a lovely and touching romance.

Bitten by Her has a bit of a Romeo and Juliet feel to it. Sara and Rachel are fated mates—they know this on a soul deep, wolf instinct level—but Sara’s pack alpha father won’t stand for his daughter mating with a woman. Her duty to him and his pack is definitive: to procreate and further his lineage. He forbids their bonding to the point he’s willing to barter Sara off to Rachel’s brother instead, but he settles for threatening Rachel’s father and the Penwith Pack with violence to keep the two women apart, infringing upon a family connection which draws unwanted attention from the Alpha Council in the process. Alpha Gallen has some archaic notions about a woman’s place in the world—this did not endear him to me (understatement)—which, in turn, brings into sharp focus the element of the forbidden in both the storyline and Sara and Rachel’s relationship, and I was invested in their bond all the more for it. After all, what’s not to love about seeing two people who belong together, longing for and fighting to make it happen?
“We hardly know each other… and yet…”

“It feels like I’ve known you forever.”

It’s the epitome of the happily ever after, the payoff for the emotional investment on the part of the reader, and Sara and Rachel were fortunate to have some powerful allies on their side.

Sexy, sensual, and rife with the painful yearning of a wolf for her absent mate, which Jacobs conveys so unmistakably, this book hits all the right romantic notes. I also loved seeing how Rachel is fitting in as a temporary beta in the Regent’s Park Pack, and hope to see more of her and Sara in future books. I also think we get a tease for the next pairing in the series, which, based on what’s here, promises to offer up some delicious tension and conflict of its own.

Bitten by Her is a beautiful love story, achingly heart-warming in return for the conflict the two women endure along the way. It’s a fantastic addition to this -verse.

This FF novella is a great addition to Annabelle Jacobs's much-loved paranormal series!

There are a lot of shapeshifter romances out there, but Annabelle Jacobs's Regent's Park Pack series really stands out. She has done a tremendous job at the worldbuilding for this series, creating an original and unique shifter universe with a complex judicial system where shifters and humans live together in precarious harmony.

Much like in the real world, there are still those in this fictional world that hold a narrow-minded & bigoted view on women's rights and value.
Sara and Rachel find that out the hard way, when Sara's father, and alpha, pulls out all the stops to prevent them from being together. Not letting little things like the potential for a mating bond, or respect for his adult daughter's wishes and happiness hold him back.
As a consequence, there's a constant sense of urgency running through the story, because Sara and Rachel can't complete their bond and so there's always that worry that their connection might start to fade.

I love how self-sacrificing and responsible both Sara and Rachel are, putting the safety and well-being of others first. They long for each other so badly, and hurt so much because of their forced separation, yet they never give in to their own desire to mate. Instead they wait to take that final step towards their own personal happiness until it is safe to do so, when all risks to their packs have finally been dealt with.
Rachel and Sara are very sweet and sexy together. They make a lovely couple and I hope to see more of them in books to come.

It was great to see some of the other pack members again as well and reconnect with old favorites.
I especially enjoyed catching up with Nathan and watching him grow so much. I hope we'll get to see him as a beta soon, leading his own unit.
Sara's grandmother, Celia (Alpha Cornell), is another amazing secondary character, strong, fair-minded and ... creative with rules. I loved that she teamed up with Cam to try their hand at a bit of matchmaking!
