Huge fan of Kelly DiPucchio. Love Gaston and this continues with that series. Cute book.

I am a HUGE Christian Robinson fan. I really enjoyed Gaston.

Please imagine the huge pause I took before reading the last page to my child. This book published in 2018 has a beloved pup become a COP. Disgusting. This is the one Christian Robinson title I’ve read so far that will not be joining our collection.

I loved Gaston, so I was really looking forward to Antoinette. I was not disappointed. It's just as cute, but in a completely different way, than Gaston. I love these bulldogs and poodles!

Read this book to kinder students. The pictures are inviting and allow for great predictions. It also allowed for some great vocabulary! Merci for a great book.

I really enjoyed the first book in this series, and this one was cute but not as charming as the first. I like that Antionette is able to find what she's good at and excel at it as a career. I think I may have liked the book more if I read it before the other one--I felt that the first one displayed more personality in each of the characters. Regardless, this one is still sweet and dog lovers will enjoy it for sure.

For: dog fans; readers looking for a book about finding your strengths.

Possible red flags: a child getting lost (though recovered quickly); characters in peril.

I liked the use of acrylics to make for some unique and almost child-like illustrations, but that ending seemed a little thrown together. Loved how French it was though and Antoinette is the cutest!

LOVE the adorable story of poodles and Frenchies set in Paris. The story is kind of disjointed at the end (Antoinette goes from being a puppy to having a family and a career as a policedog in one page?), but the illustrations are what make this really stand out.

As often happens, I didn't enjoy the sequel as much as the original. Maybe if all of the dogs had headed to the Eiffel Tower instead of rushing the Louvre.. as if reality really matters.
