for the love of GOD please let there be another book

Part of me felt like my enjoyment of American Royals was a fever dream. Luckily for me - and eager readers of this series - Majesty brings back that enjoyment, the thrill of flipping through the perspectives of the Washingtons and those around them and seeing the drama unravel.

This one picks up shortly after we left off. Beatrice is now the Queen after her father has died, still engaged to Teddy. She decides once and for all to go forward with her engagement as she struggles to find her footing in her new position. Sam is still torn up over Teddy and Beatrice, especially after she was told they'd planned to break it off. So when Sam meets Marshall, the Duke of Orange, who's going through his own heartbreak, she makes a bargain for a fake relationship. Meanwhile, Daphne is still trying to win Jefferson's heart, a matter complicated by her repressed feelings for Ethan and the sudden reawakening of her best friend from her coma. And Nina is finally starting to find herself - without Jefferson and all the media scandal dating him entailed - when a surprising romance blooms and places her back into the spotlight.

There's so much going on in this book! Everyone is in a state of mess as they try to find themselves as they fumble along in life and love. The drama is absolutely there, and each new twist was compelling and interesting! This is definitely more of a swoony book since everyone's got some kind of romantic tangles. My favorite POVs this time around were definitely Beatrice and Sam's, and I loved seeing their relationship especially in this book. My only critique is that Jefferson kind of keeps getting left to the dogs, and we reaaaaally need to fix that!

Overall, Majesty ABSOLUTELY lives up to the hype of its predecessor, and I sincerely hope there's more to the story yet. I feel like I haven't read anything quite like this in YA before and I'm so glad this blend of alternative history and gossip and drama exists!

The first book had far much more action and drama. This felt more mellow in comparison, but still good.

I could not get over the continued conflict with no resolution in sight. The concept of this series is great, but the continued, same, I resolved conflict was not worth finishing this book for me.

its funny how all the ships in the first book are sinking and the new ones are all sailing lol but i dont mind tho, i'm on all of it especially beatrice. her romantic plot and chapters are still my favorite.

its still very entertaining however, i feel like the second book is slightly lack of some. i dont like how the author making some of the main characters are kinda black and white like its too stiff and and honestly, annoying. i wish they are more complex so its more realistic and driven. im talking about nina the im-not-like-other-girls; daphne the true evil like nothing good in her ever; the boring jeff like he is gorgeous and then nothing; and lastly the selfcentered brat samantha. UGH.

cant wait to read the 3rd book!!

If you like royals and lots of drama, this may be the book for you. I was happy when the book ended. I do like how strong Beatrice and Sam become by the end of the book. By the end of the book I really liked Teddy and wished he had a little more say in his life but understood why things happened the way they did.
