I'm not huge on fantasy books, but I was recommended this book due to the dramatize adaptation. It wasn't quite what I expected, but still enjoyable. I expected it to be more like watching a movie with your eyes closed, and it was close but not quite. The characters had different voices, there was some background noises, but the main story was still narrated by the main character.

I am interested in this story and HAVE to listen to part 2. After that, I'll probably continue the series with the regular versions.

’A Court of Thorns and Roses’ is an action-packed adventure set in a time in which humans and faeries don’t get along. After killing a fae disguised as a wolf on a hunt, Feyre must live with the faeries as outlined by a treaty: her life in exchange for the life she had taken.

The book descriptions mixed in with the graphic audio were absolutely mesmerizing. I found myself listening to this book whenever I possibly could.

Overall, I like this book a lot so far. I’m excited to see what happens in part two.
