If I wasn't told this was a fan fiction, I would have had no idea. On that same vein, I wish I didn't know. I got a little too wrapped up in the "who is who" aspect and really struggled through the first half. The female comradery of this was so well done and really brought full circle with the flashbacks. None of this story felt forced and the entire novel was a really easy book to read. I am recommending to anyone who will listen and cannot wait for the next in the series!

I didn't know this was based on Dramione fan fic, and I can't say that has ever appealed to me. However, I got it and read it and it was ok!
It is a fanfic adaptation and I think it relied heavily on the world building of the HP books. Which, when taken out of that world, meant there was very little in way of world building in terms of why things are the way they are. I don't know what the war was about. It didn't make sense.
The vibes of the world as it currently is were reasonably solid. And the setting is well done.
It is a very easy to read basic romantasy. It was fun to read and easy to get through. It's predictable but that's what you would expect from it. It was ok! Nothing amazing nothing terrible.
