The main character was a passenger in her own story until the very end. The plot twist was predictable. It was a bit of a frustrating read.
I enjoyed the way this story was crafted to make it it's own. The heart versus mind magic was really interesting. The Romeo and Juliet vibes are great and the royalty aspects add a fun flair. Really interested in seeing where this will go.

If I wasn't told this was a fan fiction, I would have had no idea. On that same vein, I wish I didn't know. I got a little too wrapped up in the "who is who" aspect and really struggled through the first half. The female comradery of this was so well done and really brought full circle with the flashbacks. None of this story felt forced and the entire novel was a really easy book to read. I am recommending to anyone who will listen and cannot wait for the next in the series!
