Not as good as My Dog Is A Carrot, but fun. I like the illustrations and my favourite poem is the tortoise one.

There's a fine line in children's poetry books between poems that are funny and witty and poems which are entirely weird and poorly written. I think, for most of the poems in the boook, John Hegley chose to be weird for the sake of weirdness and that some poems are simply forced and inconsequential.
