Get Them Home

This was an epic tale of survival, courage, and unwavering determination in the face of unimaginable adversity.

The book chronicles the incredible journey of a Uyghur man, Sadam Abdusalam, as he battles against the brutal oppression of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) to save his wife and son and bring them to safety in Australia.
The story is heart-wrenching and filled with moments of intense emotion, making it a tough but necessary read.

While some parts of the book can be difficult to get through due to the horrifying realities of how the CCP treats the Uyghur people, Abdusalam's resiliency and strength shine through, making it a truly inspiring read.
Although not as powerful as [b:No Escape: The True Story of China's Genocide of the Uyghurs|61054882|No Escape The True Story of China's Genocide of the Uyghurs|Nury Turkel|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1652028656l/61054882._SY75_.jpg|92524176], this book still delivers a powerful message about the struggles of the Uyghur people, and the need for the world to pay attention and take action.

This book sheds light on a critical issue that more people need to know about, and I highly recommend it to anyone interested in learning about the struggles faced by the Uyghur people.
It's also worth noting how the issues discussed in the book are not limited to China, but rather extend globally, including in Australia and Canada, where the CCP's influence, money laundering, and overreach have been a growing concern.

Overall, "Freeing My Family" is a powerful and thought-provoking read that deserves to be checked out.

TW:
There are some questionable parts in this book on substance abuse and marriage tactics.
