4.75 stars. A stronger series starter than 'Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief', with promise for this series to get better and better. Full review here --> https://emdoesbookreviews.wordpress.com/2015/01/30/the-lost-hero-by-rick-riordan/

The Lost Hero is the first instalment of Rick Riordan’s Heroes of Olympus series, and follows Jason Grace, Piper McLean, and Leo Valdez as they become friends, are taken to Camp Half-Blood, discover who they are, and go on a quest to save Hera, Goddess of Marriage. At the start of the book, Jason has lost his memory, and by the end, some of his memories start to come back and he realises why those memories were taken. My favourite character is Leo. I recommend this book because it’s really interesting how it combines Greek and Roman mythology. I need to finish this series so I can get Percy back! ‘Maybe people with special gifts show up when bad things are happening because that’s when they’re needed most.’
