Not an easy read by any means.
I had to confront my own misconceptions around addiction.
I think most people should read this, even if they don't live in Ohio.

The whole don’t do drugs thing doesn’t work anymore. Just look at the overdoses in America and how many people are addicted to opioids. This book shows how this happens because of income inequality, the terrible American health care system, and the loss of jobs in this area of Ohio. This place just shows what is happening in America and what will keep happening. Changes need to happen. There needs to be an end to opioid addiction with better laws and healthcare actually doing something to stop the crises going on. This is a poignant read and a must read for those working in the government to see change needs to be enacted to save America.
