Forced myself to finish reading for the information, but the author's voice was near unbearable. Indulgent, white savior, western liberal fodder.

There are non-fiction books that read like fiction with a compelling storyline and a masterful personal touch of story-telling. This is not one of those. It discusses very compelling issues but the same points are reiterated multiple times, seemingly to match the 300-page normally seen in nonfiction.
