Outstanding! Brandon Sanderson continues to recapture the faster pacing of the earlier books in the series. There's a LOT going on in the various plotlines in this volume. A lot of excitement, and a few melancholy scenes as well. This one ranks rather highly in the series. I can't remember having this much fun with the Wheel of Time since The Dragon Reborn (#3). With great anticipation, and a little bit of sorrow, I proceed on to the conclusion to the tale - A Memory of Light.

First re-read: There really is much to say, this book is amazing - just like all 12 books before it and the one after. Soo many amazing moments with our favorite characters getting ready for the last battle.

So yeah... Did I mention The Wheel of Time is the greatest series ever written? I probably did, but still wanted to repeat it

Lots of things coming together for end. Probably the most nail-biting one in the series besides crown of swords.

This book, in my opinion, completely redeemed Rand’s character.
He’s been annoying to me for literally the entire series but the 180 to his personality to one of ancient wisdom and empathy was exactly what I needed to get behind him as a protagonist for the last battle. Perrin’s growth and the role he plays in this book was a great supplement to Rand’s arc. Perrin finally accepting the wolf dreams and using them to his advantage while making peace with the white cloaks was the best possible use his character could be put to. Meanwhile, Matt and Thom rescuing Moraine from the tower of midnight has the entire gang together ready to take in the last battle and wrap up this saga that feels like it’s gone on forever.

Brandon Sanderson begins to bring together all the threads that Robert Jordan wove throughout his series, and he does it amazingly well. This was a fantastic book. Sanderson definitely is finishing the series strong.
