A heartwarming story about scrappy immigrants banding together to rescue a young boy from an unforgiving system. It’s an engaging read with a good dose of drama, mystery and unlikely alliances. I found Chona’s role as the saintly martyr and Nate’s dark and mysterious past a little overdone though.

It's fine. It's not gripping and the mystery is solved pretty easily.
