Ugh.  I finally read this book which is well-loved by those I know with EDs, particularly bc it displays the nice/good parts of starving… so I expected to feel relatedness.  I didn’t AT ALL.  It was a very dark, upsetting story- think mix 6th sense and that ED movie that came out in 2018ish.  I guess I liked it when I was done, but I wouldn’t recommend it to ANYONE- Ed or not it’s a very upsetting story.

this book is a hard read at times & also some of the writing is a little cringe. but some of it is absolutely beautiful & I'm glad it ended happily. recovery is a hard thing to do & I think this book has a fairly accurate representation of that (as far as I know)
