STRONG TRIGGER WARNING. This book is HEAVY. It’s hard to read at times and goes into a lot of details of eating disorders and death. Do not read if you are easily triggered. If you do, please read with caution.

It was a beautifully written book that was deeply upsetting. It explored a girl’s eating disorder and other mental health challenges from her point of view, allowing the reader to see her perspective and learn from it.

The first time I read this book, I was an impressionable 9 year old. Reading it again a decade later, It's not so bad. I definitely didn't remember the ending except for the "thawing" quote. I'd go as far as to say that this book is better than "A Little Life" because it didn't feel like 'sad porn' (sad for the sake of being sad).
