Yay my first book of the year! :D Honestly I’m really liking this manga series so far but this volume in particular was really great. The beginning where the brothers go back to their hometown and we meet all these new characters was great. The search for Marcoh’s research and the reveal of how the Philosopher’s Stone is made? Chills. Also the end was particularly good because
I liked how there were other armor guys and the Deadly Sins  Gang TM just showed up and then the volume ended.

Overall it was an awesome read and I can’t wait to continue the other volumes.

Fullmetal Alchemist is the story of the Alphonse and Edward Elric. Ed is the youngest state alchemist, probably ever, and Al is trapped inside a suit of metal armour. Together they are on a mission to get back their original bodies. This is one of my favorite anime series and I'm really enjoying reading the manga now.
In this volume, we go back to their hometown of Resembool. Here we meet what remains of their found family, Granny Pinako and Winry. Nothing keeps them down for long, and they're soon back on their adventures meeting new characters such as bookish Sheska and are reintroduced spend some time with Lieutenant Colonel Hughes!

Despite not being much plot development in this volume, it’s my favourite so far. The family moment and the boys being kids for a little bit just warmed my heart.
