Sometimes poetic, sometimes annoying (misogyny, hello), always, always tiring. There’s so many loosely connected images it becomes hard to keep up. I thought I could do it, reading only in small chunks on the subway, but even that turned out to be too grating. Maybe if there was more of a story than just the hero wandering around the city, then there’d be something else to focus on to relieve the ceaseless current of images. As is, though, I give up.

Fairly early on felt literally dizzy reading one bit, and had to put it down. Will get back to it when the time is right.
