Tony Ross and Jeanne Willis have always made for a great partnership and having read [b:Tadpole's Promise|669839|Tadpole's Promise |Jeanne Willis|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1176956591s/669839.jpg|892370] I was looking forward to this having no knowledge has beautiful a poem it would be able the love between a parent and child. Here the words and image work so well together and I particularly like the short which Ross himself alludes to between child and parents which is not explicit in the text. The book itself, for me, is a liberating look at the relationship between a father and his daughter in which masculine ideologies are challenged.
