The inspiring story of Alicia Alonso, the prima ballerina from Cuba. She became a prima ballerina in spite of being partially blind.
Beautifully illustrated.

This book was fascinating! Alicia was such a resilient person fighting through blindness to achieve her gold of being a prima ballerina. I loved the writing and illustrations and highly recommend it for young and old!

Very pretty drawings, cool to learn about how she danced adapting to becoming disabiled.
Obviously it doesn't go into great depth as a children's picture book.
