I am not one to read graphic novels but this one takes the cake. Not only is the story completely captivating but the artwork is simply out of this world. Beautiful. I am dying to read the rest of the series and simply love that in this edition they include tons of background notes at the end of the book. Ideas, concepts and chapter mappings lead me to re-read the comics again just to fully immerse myself in the world.

Long live Luci!

I am so glad I picked this up on Humble Bundle. It's the best of punk fantasy and mythology and amazing art all wrapped up into one. I love how it's structured: the same phrases and visuals and themes keep coming back around. I also love the ever (slightly) changing title pages to each issue. It was such a fun read and I've already checked to see if my library has issue 3 (they do!) so I can keep on reading.

Beautiful art, really cool premise. I occasionally got lost with the gods and wish I had more background on who each one was but I am ready to read the next set of issues!

Plot isn't bad at all, but the humor kinda is. I'll probably finish the series out of curiosity, though.

I'll be honest, I barely knew what was happening for the first half of this graphic novel. However, things came together and I was very impressed. I actually read this on my iPad and the artwork was absolutely stunning. Too impressive for words, really. Overall, it was an entertaining read and I look forward for what's to come.
