Have a slinking suspicion that there was quite a bit lost in translation here. Liked the last story 'Salt' most--not least for the wild elephants in it. Still, these are very angry stories: the kind that is written and meant to provoke one's 'social conscience'. Not sure if that works out well in literature: the anger and the angst should not come so emphatically into a writer's writing, I feel, but should emerge empathically from the reader's reading.
