While preparing an indoor picnic, Cat the Cat asks each of her friends what sound they make. Hound the Hound woofs, Chick the Chick peeps, Cow the Cow moos, but Bunny the Bunny doesn't have a sound...so her friends reassure her by giving her a big hug.

There's no one like Willems for creating a situation that leads to a natural surprise. Cat asks various animals what sound they make. But when he gets to bunny....hmmm. Simply beautiful execution, like the other others in the series.

LOVED this for pre-school kids learning animal sounds. Very cool vibe, a hidden nod to Pigeon. Way cooler than any app.

one of those books kids learning to read will love because they can basically cheat and memorize the whole thing. love the ending with the rabbit.
