In a dystopian world where elephants no longer exist but mammoths are reintegrated and the lives of the scientists behind this. Super cool and quick read.

I liked the exploration of memory, and I enjoyed some of the writing itself. It was a bit heavy-handed in message at times, but overall had interesting ideas. I wish it had been longer to explore some of the ideas with more depth - especially with the mammoths.

I think this book did a wonderful job juggling a what if question with a narrative premise. When I was surprised at how short this story is and it Tusks manages to do a lot narratively in just a hundred or so pages.
