Savage Dom
Savage Island Duet, Book 1
By: Jane Henry
Narrated by: D.C. Cole

Being stranded on a deserted island can't be all bad, can it? Harper is left stranded on an island when the cruise ship she is on leaves her behind. Is she alone? Cy has been on the island for an undetermined amount of time and saves her from a brutal attack. Now together, these two experience the inexplicable happenings around them. Will they find food? Where are the other men who were left with Cy? Why would the cruise ship leave Harper behind? And what will happen to them? Jane Henry has masterfully crafted the first part in this duet with a sense of thrilling suspense and arousing desire. The island is like paradise in one instance and is perilous in the next, but the chemistry between this alpha male and submissive woman never falters. It's hot, thrilling and leaves you wanting book 2!

Read to us by DC Cole, the story comes to life. Cole has a voice for every character. He has a delicious rasp to his voices that lends Cy that dominant feel and can easily transition to the female Harper in an instant. I can't wait til we hear him in the conclusion of this duet!

What a crazy story!
Harper wins an all inclusive cruise, which seems too good to be true.
I can't say much more without giving the story away.
Jane Henry's stories always entertain and give the reader lots of steamy Alpha men.

This is a bit of a departure for this author in that this book is very definitely NOT a standalone. It is part 1 of a 2 part series. This means that not all of your questions will be answered by the end of the book. It's a slower, more anticipatory build that will leave you desperately wanting book 2 immediately because you just need to know - who, what, where & why?? Now it did take me a bit longer than usual to get into this book because of how it started. It really doesn't pull any punches & is quite confronting. However, by the last page I just wanted answers. This book reminds me greatly of The Hunger Games - but is absolutely adults only.

I don't know what I expected when I picked this book up but it definitely wasn't this. But it was so good! I feel like I'm rarely surprised these days so this book was a happy little treat for me.

The dynamic between the H and h is good, the chemistry feels real and palpable, and there is a hefty dose of mystery to keep the viewer wondering wtf is going on / why they're on an island.

The dude on the front cover really doesn't match the description of the H in the book, ha.
