I swiped the whole graphic novels new release section at my local library (it wasn’t many books). This was among them. I’m aware of the Dark Knights: Death Metal series, but I haven’t read it, so I kind of jumped into this one without context.

Diana/Wonder Woman is dead and wakes up in Asgard instead of Olympus (it’s weird seeing Thor and Odin in a DC comic!). The first issue of this volume is fine, but then it sprawls for NINE more issues. After a while, it seems like the author is just skipping throughout the multiverse for the fun of it without ever advancing the plot. This was long and it felt long.

This was alright, the writing was okay but not all that much really happened in the story, especially when you consider this TPB is 10 issues. However, this is the start of a long run so maybe some of this stuff will matter down the line. The art is really great and changes based on the different worlds (or w/e) that Wonder Woman goes to. This would be a two with less stellar art. Let's see where this goes.

As anyone who has read the Percy Jackson series can attest, IT'S ALWAYS THE ROMANS' FAULT!
But seriously, fantastical look into what happens when Wonder Woman gets sucked into a mystery that spans a variety of mythologies, including DC's own homegrown stuff (multiverse and gemworld), and trying to bring a god-killing villain to justice.
Must've taken a LOT of restraint to not draw the Norse folks like Marvel does...
