This one was fast-paced and constantly full of action. Although a bit unrealistic at times. Living in Albania I particularly liked the Kosovo/Albanian bent to the story. This is the first Tom Barber novel I have read and look forward to reading more by this author.

Blackout is different from the books I usually read. It was a deal on BookBub and I decided to check it out and it was pretty good. Lots of action and violence. Didn't feel connected to any of the characters BUT, this is the 3rd or 4th book in the series so that may have something to do with it. I also remember thinking "These guys aren't very good at their job" because they found themselves in soooo many compromising situations, lol. Entertaining read overall.

Rip roaring pace, tough characters, and intersecting worlds. Worth your time for more action, and some deduction, less detection. You'll learn a lot more about people in Archer's life, with detail you were probably looking for in the first few books.
Blackout stands alone in the series, and yet it also explains what his work in London did for Sam, and why he makes the choices he does moving forward.
