With the setup portion out of the way from volume 1, this volume puts the brakes on a bit focuses on this new mysterious world and the creatures within it. Blarion and Figment sort of meander around for the most part with the exception of the end. They meet up with this dog with wings who they instantly befriend and a group of Fairies/Pixies who are set up to be the antagonists for next volume. The biggest thing that happens are the scenes with the Chairman back on Earth. It not only establishes that time is moving a lot faster where Figment and Blair are but that the machine indeed create some sort of door which things can come through.

The same issues I had with the first volume are still here but they still aren't as bad. Figment is given even less to do in this volume and is mostly shoved to the background, which is a bit disappointing.

Overall, a good follow up to the first volume.
