Grant found the woman he wants in Agnes. Nothing will stop him from pursuing her and making her realize that they are right for each other. This story was fun.

I did not finish this book. I made it a couple of chapters in before I couldn't take the pushiness of the male lead. I understand the story is supposed to be the female being unsure of herself and she feels unworthy of attention, but themale lead refused to take no for an answer. That isn't romance, that is narcissistic behavior. There are gentler ways he could have pursued the female, with friendship and conversation, but he was determined to marry her and forced her to listen to his boasting that we will marry her.

Thank you to Dragonblade publishing and NetGalley for this ARC

What a sweet novella!

I loved historical romances (obvi) and when I requested this one I didn't know that it was a novella. I finished it easily in a couple hours.

The main characters were a great couple. Grant was so devoted to Nessa right away. Nessa was hesitant to believe Grant's intentions were true, but I can relate to her insecurities. Especially for the time period! But she succumbed to her feelings to him and it was nice to see their "happily ever after"

Looking forward to hearing more of their story!

This is not Bree’s best writing. Gotta say it.
