I really liked that the book was printed on such large pages because it made the full color pages so much more impactful. I want to see what happens next!

As a set up for a new graphic novel series, I absolutely loved this. It was a little on the short side, and the majority of this particular volume is taken up by world building, but I loved it just the same. Because the art is absolutely gorgeous! The color palette, the organization, the little details that were incorporated in order to help with the world building. Masterfully done.

The overall theme of this school on the moon seems to be punk, which makes for some really cool art throughout. We only really get a hint of the relationships between the main characters, and I can't wait for that to built upon in later volumes. Overall, this is a great foundational volume, and I am super excited to read more!

This was delightful! Thank you to the publisher for the arc!
This first volume establishes a beautifully diverse set of characters who were fun from the start. I immediately got them and their dynamic. It made it super easy to read and all the more exciting to follow them around in this world.
The world building was fantastic. It is already super established and full of potential. It’s filled with scifi’s typical criticism of society which makes it all the more delightful. The world makes for a perfect setting where so many things can be explored and this first volume went into some of them already. I’m very excited to see where this story goes and the first part was already amazing!

Thank you so much to Oni Press and NetGalley for giving me a digital arc of this graphic novel in exchange for my honest opinion.

Space Trash is a sapphic sci-fi graphic novel about three teenagers attending a high school on the moon for underprivileged youth. The year is 2115 and Earth has been evacuated and humanity have colonised the Moon and Mars. When Stab, Yuki and Una uncover an exciting secret at school their lives could be changed forever.

I couldn’t put this down and read it in one sitting. I absolutely adored Space Trash and am so excited to read the sequels. The book sets the story up really well for the rest of the series.

The illustrations were incredible and so detailed. I loved Jenn Woodall’s use of colour and texture. The illustrations had an amazing futuristic grunge style with lots of modern pop culture references hidden in the background of artwork.
