On Moon Yatta the kids learn about the evils of late stage capitalism.

Seriously, though, this series is amazing and my daughter now has my husband and I racing our way through it together.

I really like these, but I highly recommend re-reading them every time a new one comes out, as these are not books that you can get without the backstory!

If you have not read the first two books in this series, stop reading. Go get them. And read them. Then come back.

The politics changing and updating in this installation are really interesting.
On one level it reminds me of the Capitol in the Hunger Games, oblivious about the world around them and greedy.

But I feel like it's relatively on the nose about a lot of problems happening now: A major corporation destroying the planet around it to make as much money as it can before it's too late to suck more money out of the natural resources.

Another solid installment and I look forward to the next one.

For a YA comic, there’s some pretty brutal stuff in here. Off-page executions and mind-control type stuff. I like a lot of this, but the story is definitely still ongoing, and I’m reserving judgement for when it’s completed.

The third volume of the amazing 5 Worlds series deals with corporatism, racism, and media manipulation. Reading this for the first time during Trump's tenure as PotUS hit differently but I mean what's really changed since then? And the Alex Jones parody is still hilarious.
