Romancing the Rogue is the first book in the Rogue Chronicles. I’ve read a lot of books by this author and I’ve never been disappointed. This book was Caroline and Richard’s story and it was a page turner! It grabbed my attention from the first page. Caroline Gold’s father has been having health problems and the family’s finances have suffered. She is trying to keep the household together and have a duke propose to her. Richard, the Earl of Aberland, is trying to locate a French spy who killed his best friend. Richard suspects the Duke of Wayfair and will observing him notices Caroline’s suspicious behavior. Fortunately for Caroline, Richard and her get caught in a compromising position and become engaged. The story is well written and extremely engaging. There are lots of twists and intrigue to the story. I loved the second epilogue. It really added closure to their HEA. This was a wonderful book to start the series and I can’t wait for the next one in the series. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
