This book is amazing!!! I had never heard of Relf v. Weinberger but I will be looking into it along with the hundreds of Black men in rural Alabama untreated for syphilis. I was already very much aware of the horrific history of medical advancements in America. I know how people of color were mistreated, used and abused. This book has shot up to the top of my favorite books for sure.

This is based on a true case of unauthorized sterilization of 2 young girls in Montgomery in the 70s. It’s an interesting story and the writing is well done. There’s a bit of legal stuff during the actual court case which I get dragged a bit bit overall a solid read.

This was an excellent book! It had a great storyline and kept me engaged. I just wanted to keep reading it to find what would happen next. I would highly recommend this book to anyone.
