Kind of a great badass heroine, but also a narrative that often loses focus.

I didn’t think I was enjoying this book but then also couldn’t put it down. The characters aren’t very loveable and there were a few plot points I really didn’t enjoy. It did make me think though, which I always appreciate in a book.

THE USE OF THE N WORD IS TOO MUCH AND MAKES ME UNCOMFORTABLE. THE AUTHOR ISNT EVEN BLACK LIKE WTF AND THE CHARACTERS SAYING IT ARENT BLACK EITHER! THEN THE STORY IS SO UNINTERESTING LIKE I WAS DEFINITELY ZONING OUT BUT BECAUSE OF THE N WORD I ZONED BACK IN

Author uses both forms of the n-word racial slur, including with a hard r multiple times, as well as describes a man as “N*g*o Johnson”. Highly inappropriate for someone who is not of the community with which those terms were originally screamed at to feel comfortable using them in a book, especially when she could have gotten her point across without them, it was clearly used for shock value.
