This one is a tear-jerker. I think it would work really well as a book to help a young child who is dealing with a death in their family. The text is sparse and lyrical, but it actually says a lot more than just the words on the page. I really liked the illustrations which seemed to be drawings from actual photos of Jane Yolen's family. Very touching.
