ummmm yeah i am worried after this book.

the two sisters are chronically online, mentally ill, depressing characters who are so mean and unnecessarily antagonistic… i understand now why mum would say THATS ENOUGH!!! and I DONT WANT TO HEAR ANOTHER WORD when we were fighting because yeah it’s really annoying! and did it get them anywhere? NO!! to capture a true sister dynamic is very difficult i’m sure, but this just wasn’t it… they seriously need to go outside, take a deep breath, go to therapy, maybe volunteer or something idk!!

although i did enjoy the writing style, i was confused by the many different parts: the narcissistic mum, MLM schemes, social media, chronic illness, judaism, mummy bloggers? am i missing a link between all of this? it was a lot of random and i got lost. maybe it was just me?

to top it all off the ending was sudden and depressing like huhhhhh i don’t understand!!!! i don’t feel like there was any sort of movement with the characters or themes? what did we accomplish with this book? i feel like i need to go outside.

It is 100% deserving of every accolade and every star. But it was so real… and disturbing that I have to acknowledge that pain that it brought up in me.
