A great selection of kinky bonbons, particularly if you're into spanking. The mental state and driving emotions of the characters are repetitive and get to be a bit one-note, hence one star taken off, but the erotics of shame and mental domination/submission are on point throughout. Favorites were "Craig's List," "Dixie's Girl-Toy Gets Spanked for the First Time" (!!), "What She's Not Telling Him," and "The Rest Stop." The standout story by far is "Bending," the novella that concludes the book. Filthy sex, complex characterizations fully driven by and expressed within the sex scenes, an unerring wormhole inside the mind of a fetishist, and an unflinching exploration of the frightening places our desires can lead us. Top-notch.

This is not something I usually read but I love Greta Christina's writing so I thought I'd give it a shot. Try something new. Very interesting stories, all of them. But not my thing. I appreciate her being candid about separating fact from fantasy. She gives lots of links at the end for those who want to try out safe and fun forms of BDSM. So I'm glad I read it but not my style for erotica fiction.
