There were many city names and character names that meant nothing to me.

A great starter or refresher for Greek mythology/Heroes. The author really achieved to have those stories "weave in and out of one another" and in general I liked the writing. Not too fancy but not too colloquial either. Would recommend especially for beginners.

Such a nice book, has cute pictures and it isn't confusing in the slightest, definitely would recommend whether you want to start getting into Greek mythology or you just want a refresher.

Tremendous. I wish I had discovered this book long ago. I'm sure there may be some that squirm at the simplifications found here, but I would highly recommend this as a great place to build a simply skeleton to hang all the Greek myths on. I plan to gobble up his other books. Targeted right at my 8th grade mind, but I'm exhilarated by the acquisition of knowledge while reading. I finally have a grasp of these myths.

Very pg version of Greek history in this book all giving nice explanations to the reading woman’s stories. A lot of these variations I’ve never even heard. It was very heavily glorifying these men and did not display what they truly did in the myths. I’d recommend for someone getting into Greek mythology but if you read quite a lot of of it would not recommend this.

Great seeing someone else’s interpretation of Greek myths and the heroes we all know, a lot of these stories were actually knew for me at least to read but many like Jason and the argonauts i have never read a book about this or seen it on tv so that was interesting. I enjoyed reading all the tales of Heracles such tragedy.

It was okay... I liked the myths and all (they were described very well), but found the writing boring and possibly even amateur? It wasn't my favourite, but I think I'd rate this closer to 3.5 stars.
